Toronto, Ontario >NorthAmeriNet Host Possible, yes. Allowable, yes. Advisable, probably not. Uhura.neoucom.edu is not on bitnet, is not on fidonet, and tries to avoid talking to uunet. Uhura DOES talk to one fidonet site that polls in an irregular fashion. If that makes a gateway, then fidonet members must have the patience of Job. The only gateway function that uhura.neoucom.edu supports is a relay between uucp and OARnet. However, judging from some of the undeliverable headers that get forwarded to the postmaster, we seem to have been promoted to "worlds smartest mailer, or the mailer at the end of the universe"... I suppose we should feel honored. :-) I wouldn't be surprised if Toronto had even more opportunities to gateway mail than does Rootstown, OH (an unincorporated township). Have you thought of looking for a local gateway? Dick Depew -- Richard E. Depew red@uhura.neoucom.edu (work) NEOUCOM, Rootstown, OH. red@redpoll.neoucom.edu (home) uunet!aablue!{neoucom, redpoll}!red
