Randall,

The list maintainer is PSI, and it maintained/distributed
through uu.psi.com (!uupsi).
We are certainly agreeable to gatewaying the mailing list into
comp.protocols.snmp once we are assured that there has been
a appropriate vote on newsgroup creation.

 I have inquired of the SNMP mailing list maintainer
 at NYSERnet whether it would be agreeable to gateway
 the comp.protocols.snmp newsgroup with the existing
 SNMP mailing list if the newsgroup were created.
 
 The answer to whether they will be gatewayed is mostly
 in the hands of the list maintainer.
 
 I personally would prefer to see the list promoted to
 an Internet newsgroup (those with the "inet" distribution)
 and simply gatewayed in the same manner as the TCP-IP
 list is with comp.protocols.tcp-ip.
 
 Perhaps the "inet newsgroup czar" could be persuaded to
 do this ???
