I've used Borland's Turbo-C in that environment and liked it. I haven't done any robotics with it, but it's a good software development system and shouldn't have any problems downloading to the HERO through a serial port. If you want to work in a windowing environment, you might take a look at Microsoft C. It has all the hooks necessary to work and build applications in the Microsoft Windows environment. I've never used it, but have heard nothing bad about it, other than its cost. -- The Polymath (aka: Jerry Hollombe, M.A., CDP, aka: hollombe@ttidca.tti.com) Head Robot Wrangler at Citicorp Illegitimis non 3100 Ocean Park Blvd. (213) 450-9111, x2483 Carborundum Santa Monica, CA 90405 {rutgers|pyramid|philabs|psivax}!ttidca!hollombe
