Just a quick update... Tonight I added an escape code so you can (1) blank immediately, (2) set the desired blanking interval, in seconds, or (3) disable the blanking feature. Some funny things still do happen if a window is resized while invisible... but it basically works. Interestingly, I think I may have found a bug (or "feature") in the pty driver. If you call select with a timeval structure that has a negative timeout value, it cripples the driver, and it must be deallocated and reinstalled to work right again. little david chomping at the bit blits -- Unix is not your mother.
