With the 2620 card, the easy way to increase speed (easy he said?) is to swap the existing 110ns memory chips out for 80ns memory chips. That and a jumper change allows you to run a zero wait state system. It gives about a 17% improvement, according to Jez San's Speed 2.0 program. Swapping out the processor wouldn't give you much without some major changes, since the 2620 is a syncronous 14.32MHz board, changing the 68881 to a faster one and adding the crystal oscillator would work though, and in fact they have jumpers and a place on the board for the crystal. > Jeff Goebel. > Comspec Staff.
