Perhaps it isn't a (or one) space, but one (or several) non-printable
chars.

Just try from normal Shell:
list ?QA#?
or if this doesn't list these files:#
list #?QA#?
and then use
delete ?QA#?   (or delete #?QA#?, respectively)
to get rid of them.
