(Well duplicate sructure take some place). Simply have 2 set of Dos routines, simply do the call and change APTR to BPTR... That will cost you a couple of byte ad backward compatability. And if you think that many software (Including part of the rom) are written in C, some LSR and LSL shouldn't be a problem. And if CBM dont support BPTR in dos structure and call, every single programe I use will BREAK! And I dont want that to happen. Same with Rom function, how many software do you think use OpenLibrary instead of OldOpenLibrayr... If all this is serious its a BIG mistake. Another thing about BPTR: I dont think BPTR are that mutch of a problem.Not a speed problem, and a gain if you think of C not a code size problem. Stephan.
