So here goes ... I am writing a replica of a major arcade hit. Will I be able to make it Shareware without getting in any sort of legal troubles. If not can I make it Public Domain without getting in trouble? I have seen other replicas of older games both as Shareware and Public Domain but I am hesitant because of the size and nature of the company which produced the original that I am replicating.
