Message-ID: <91137.145011KBRAMHIL@ESOC.BITNET> Date: 17 May 91 17:42:04 GMT Sender: news@masterCNA.TEK.COM Followup-To: comp.sys.handhelds Lines: 21 Organisation: European Space Operation Centre (E.S.O.C) Status: OR Does anyone have technical information on the handheld games machine made by Nintendo that would enable me to program the thing!? I imagine that I'm not the only person that consider that the Game Boy has a lot of potential for both game and other applications. Nintendo here in Germany would not give out any info. The type of things that would be helpful are :- 1) What processor does it use? (eg Z80 type?) I've looked inside & can not suss the type! 2) What are the connections to the program cartridge & what are the limit- ations (memory size etc). 3) Has anyone figured a memory map + what each location does. 4) How to drive the display...? We may have a go at de-engineering the thing this week end but I suspect it wil l take a lot longer than that before we get any info that is enough to make the thing of any use. Any way... if anyone has anything at all please E-MAIL it... Thanks in advance!
