The message is:- DUMP: 73.87% done, finished in 0:33 DUMP: (This should not happen)bread from /dev/rdsk/0s1 [block 509704]: count=5120, got=3072 DUMP: 77.73% done, finished in 0:28 The dump does not abort but continues to the end. I am dumping a SCSI disk on a 9000/400s using HP-UX 7.0.3. I have run "fsck" on the file system with no problems reported. The "dump" error message always reports the same block number. I am new to HP-UX and any help would be greatly appreciated. Tim Mullins tm@bdblues.altair.fr
