The international versions of system 7 are in no way different from the american, EXCEPT that it has a few more ADDITIONAL resources (INTL, itl0, itl1 and itl4 get one more; and a new KCHR table) and all the texts are in your language. (This might not be THAT accurate, so please correct me if I'm wrong) So basically there are no betas with localization. You just take the us version, add the resources I mentioned above, get a "international" CDEV and here it goes. (You can grab both from 6.0.5 and later local systems) I did that now 3 times in Germany (b1, b4 and final) and I haven't encountered any problems. Any texts from Finder or system are in english, but I really don't care... The keyboard has german layout, the dates (and even the names of the days) and times appear in proper german notation. (Of course that is neither the official nor the recommended way to get a localized system). So, give up waiting, do a bit of hacking and go ahead... ;-) Have fun. Now. Oliver.
