Remember, until just recently, Apple was known for having -lots- of an announced product out and available the day it was announced. But now, with the orientation being on getting products out to market quickly, Apple often hasn't had a product out in -quantity- on the day of its announcement (Display Card 8.24 GC anyone? Macintosh Classic? ). But that hasn't sunk in, and quanitity availibility is still the expectation. Add those expectations to the amount of anticipation that Mac users have gone through for the last two years waiting for 7.0, and the taunts they've endured at the hands of their Windows-using adversaries, and a lot of us Usenet folk begin acting like whiny kids. Now, myself, I'm quite proud that I've managed to maintain a level of maturity and professionalism while waiting for 7.0 to show up at OSU's Computer Store, although they had it at a local retail chain YESTERDAY! I want my copy of System 7.0 RIGHT NOW, DAMMIT! I DON'T CARE IF MARK JOHNSON HAS TO STAY LATE AND NOT SLEEP AT ALL! I WANT 7.0 NOW, DAMMIT!!! NOW! NOW! NOW! NOW! GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME gimme... gimme... uh... ahem. 'scuse me. [ This post has been smileyed for the humor-impaired. :) :) :) :) :) ] Latebreaking news flash.
