I was told they charge $10 for anyone (even students) to copy the disks. The question "Why" produced "Because the copying will take up a lot of time in which other students could be using the Macs for other things." The question "How about if I come by later when it isn't busy" produced "Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.................it doesn't work that way, it's still $10." Strangely, the campus computer dealer, Computrends, said they didn't do it and it was Computrends who referred me over to the Mac lab, which is not for computer science majors at all; basically, it's a Microsoft Word network where students can pay a few bucks to type up & print out their reports on a Laserwriter. It really would've been quite nice if Apple published some kind of coupon in the papers saying "Bring this to your dealer for a FREE copy of System 7". Assuming you bring the disks. It would be a nice way to standardize dealer response, which is never uniform even on simpler matters. bill
