Remember, until just recently, Apple was known |for having -lots- of an announced product out and available the day it |was announced. Obviously not a "Hundred Days" owner. I was convinced I was gonna wait a hundred days to get my Macintosh (the original one). (As for the Classics, Apple was pretty sure they had enough throughput to keep up with demand. Surprise! They Like It!) |Add those expectations to the amount of anticipation that Mac users |have gone through for the last two years waiting for 7.0, and the |taunts they've endured at the hands of their Windows-using |adversaries, and a lot of us Usenet folk begin acting like whiny kids. I certainly understand how you feel. I had to wait until the "fc" betas before I could "test" it. But please understand that Apple will acutally do a better job of getting 7.0 "out there" than with almost any other product they've shipped. Most of you should have it within a week, and the early polls predict that within a year, over THREE MILLION MACHINES will be running 7.0. |Latebreaking news flash. While I was writing this post, the OSU |Computer Store called. My copy of System 7.0 is in! Goshes, I love happy endings. bill coderre hundred days owner and damn proud of that
