Talk to the manager. Have him or her call the System 7 Answer Line and ask the techs what the policy is. Aks the manager to tell you what they find out. 2. If the manager then refuses to offer duplication services, that's his/her right. You'll either have to copy from a friend, get it from a user group, or just buy the thing and suffer with the nice manuals and toll free support. Remember, just because Apple has been trying to explain the policy to computer stores for a while now, doesn't mean that they have to listen. Your store might not know what's happening yet.
