Who knows, the people with the power at Apple may see some of the complaints as things they don't want to deal with and pull the plug on ftp.apple.com. We're truely fortunate Apple has an FTP server--IBM doesn't, Microsoft doesn't (not that are as well known as Apple's) plus one where system software is available for anonymous FTP.
