Boy, I got quick response to this one! Thanks all!

Earlier today I asked...

     Can I use LaserWriter and LaserPrep 5.2 with System 7.0? I'd like to
     upgrade, but I share a LaserWriter with several others who are not
     likely to upgrade any time soon. (This group of Mac users exists as a
     Benevolent Anarchy with no real Sys Admin :-) )

...and the answer is "yes, but Background Printing will not work."

I realize that the BEST thing is to get everyone else to upgrade to
7.0 printing resources.  However, I do not have the power to influence
my colleagues (some of whom haven't even HEARD of System 7) to make
such a change.  Sure, I could talk them into it, but it would take
hours of my time to do so, user by user...

Judging by my email, many folks out there are in the same boat.
