Message-ID: <674430331@macbeth.cs.duke.edu> Date: 16 May 91 21:45:32 GMT Organization: Duke University Computer Science Dept.; Durham, N.C. Lines: 26 I don't know what happened. There I was, playing with some new INIT's (Eyeballs and WDEF Init), and now my MacII will not run for very long without crashing. I removed ALL inits. I have removed 'system' and 'finder', and reinstalled them (sys 6.0.5), and it still happens. I quit running the AutoMounter program for my hard disk partitions, eliminated multi-finder, and it still crashes. It crashes when I am doing something in the menus. Sometimes the a menu will be left on the screen, sometimes, after an item selection, the menu title stays reversed, and some of the time, it's a straight jump into MacsBug after some menu'ing. Sometimes, a window title will disappear. An sc[67] command usually shows the routine FlashMenuBar routine along with several HLocks. I can't relate this to ANY program or init, since I can make it happen without running anything (after booting and doing nothing else). Of course, when I boot off the 6.0.5 disks, it never happens. Any clues? I sure would appreciate it. Any suggestions?
