Has anyone run across a handler (for lack of a better term) for any of the
widely available scanners? (E.g., HP Scanjet, Abaton, Epson, ...)  It seems
a waste to be forced to use a PC [or Mac, or whatever] just to scan.

BTW:  I'm refering to SCSI based scanners.
