We're currently running 2.5 (X11R3) on an SGI/IRIX and would
like to upgrade to newer version of IV.  We're developing 
applications that require raster image manipulation, IDRAWish.

Should I just upgrade to 2.6 or 3.0-beta ?

Is 3.0 compatible with X11R3 and/or X11R4 ?
