By virtue of my last message we (Microsoft) do know about the problem and I said that I was looking into it. That's right, I'm responsible for the PostScript driver. I monitor this forum and the programming forum to help users and programmers. Understand this is all in an unofficial sense and I make no promises of what will or will not be done and am prohibited from saying what has been done for a prerelease product. When problems are found or suggestions need to be made post them here and they *may* fall on a friendly ear... > >Problem #2 - EPS (w/TIFF preview) will not print in w4w if followed by table > This is another problem that I know about and am looking into. Since you aren't a Novice here is what happens: An app issues a PASSTHROUGH escape with a "save" command in it. An app issues a Rectangle call with a pattern brush. This defines a variable /fm to hold the pattern. An app issues a PASSTHROUGH escape with a "restore" command in it, flushing the fm definition, among other things. An app issues a Rectangle call. The job fails because the driver things the fm variable is still around. Basically the above set of operations is the App's fault. The question is who is forcing the set of operations to occur and is still under investigation. I don't want people to think that MS is a big brick wall that ignores their users. This isn't so. Some of our support systems need reworking but also think about the logistics of supporting 3 million copies of a product within a year that is as extensive as Windows is. We're working on it.
