Well Jim, I don't agree with this one. I have used windows without a mouse (horrors!) and it is still much slower redrawing windows and such than a Mac. I would blame the speed differential in that Macs have much of there system calls in ROMs and they are specifically tailored to run a GUI. Windows is grafted onto a DOS machine and has two layers of crap to get through.
