Message-ID: <14127@ur-cc.UUCP> Date: 17 May 91 20:52:48 GMT Organization: University of Rochester - Rochester, New York Lines: 25 I've been having trouble using the Format Position command to locate paragraphs on a page. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, or if there is a bug in WfW. To make a title page, I have two paragaphs on page one: the title and my name. Selecting the title, I set its position to Left and Center. This works fine (switching to File Preview). Then, I select my name and position it Left and Bottom. Going to File Preview, it doesn't even show up on the page. After a little toying around, I found WfW was always positioning the second paragraph *relative* to the first (no matter whether I selected relative to page or margin). So, the name paragraph was way off the bottom of the page. I worked around the difficulty by positioning the second five inches down from the first. What's going on here? Shouldn't everything be position relative to the page or margin according to which option I choose? -Chris -- >>>> Chris Newbold <<<< * "If you fool around with a thing for very long you * University of Rochester * will screw it up." * Disclaimer: "All warranties expire upon payment of invoice." ctne_ltd@uhura.cc.rochester.edu * uhura.cc.rochester.edu!ctne_ltd@uunet
