Can anyone tell me how to rename the title bar of xterm when using telnet so
that it displays the name of the host machine you are logging into ? I have
tried using an alias command of the form
      alias telnet 'echo $ ; \telnet'     (control characters omitted from echo)

This doesn't seem to work as the word designator doesn't display the last
argument of the original command but that of the echo command i.e. $ itself.
