I copied the suggestions from the xdm man pages and from the O'Reilly book...and things are limping along. Occasionally, if my terminal hangs or something weird happens, I reboot w/out being able to kill everything. The next time my XDM login appears, and I log in, I get into this loop where I login;windows appear;disappear;get login screen again. I end up having to go find errant processes to kill then start again. It usually takes a few iterations to get everything. Also, if I'd like to log off, is there an easier way to do it cleanly than by killing windows one-by-one? Changes to the xdm config files or to my .xsession file, or whatever? ___________________________ Aaron Akman aaron@backyard.bellcore.com 908-699-8019
