"Physically Challenged" has always struck me as being one of those
cutesy euphemisms that is awkward to say while not really communicating
anything.

After all, in one way or another, we are ALL physically challenged.

The term does have ONE saving grace; it has the same first letters as
"Politically Correct", which is what the people who use it are trying to
be.
