The VA is starting to test them. Ther name is The Vannini-Rizzoli Stablizing Limb Orthosis(V-RSLO, or the boot). They are a carefully configured brace that is inserted into a leather boot and used to aid ambulation of individuals with lower-extermenity dysfunction(can't walk). I am quoteinf, if this sounds stilted. "The insole is angled so that the toes point down, shifting the users center of gravity forward and anterior to the ankle jint................................................ ...................................................When the users knees are locked in position, he stands with hips thrust forward and shoulders back. By shifting the upper body slightly, to the left or right, and forware, the users causes the center of gravity to shift forward, and thus walk, with canes, walker or what ever help needed. Now the good part, priced at $4,400,contact Louis J. Salerno II, Esq., ( a laywer?) 1900 L Street, NW, Suite 500, Wash, D.C. 20036,. (202)785- 8177. Good luck!
