I am trying to get some preliminary design ideas together for a school project and I came across a description of a "uP compatible PLL system" integrated circuit in the D.A.T.A. catalogs. From the brief diagram shown, it appears to be what I need for my project. I phoned National Semiconductor, while unable to provide any information over the phone specific to this integrated circuit, very kindly sent me their 1990 Semiconductor Master Selection Guide. Unfortunately, it did not include anything about the MM5439N integrated circuit. I guess I can assume that it is not in production any longer. Before I let this die, I am going to make one last effort and request anyone in netland who may have a data sheet on this part and/or even the part itself(!) to drop me an email note. I assume that it might be described in the MOS/LSI databook. (I only have the 1977 issue). Sigh. As a side note, does anyone know where to get a 74LS/HC/HCT297 digital PLL integrated circuit without the $100.00 minimum order headaches? I am indebted to all who respond. -- #include Kevin Roberts #include "sTd.dIsClAiMeR" kroberts@cscihp.ecst.csuchico.edu main() { float x=1; printf("Just my $%.2f.\n",x/50); }
