There's a package called Escape (I beleive) that handles all sorts of HP LaserjetII formatting such as fonts, rule lines, etc. If you just want to keep with the internal fonts, you could send out the PCL codes. But the PCL codes are pretty intense and I bet it would be difficult to control horizontal tabs, etc once you change the CPI.
