A colleague in another country is about to make a major hardware
commitment for LAN technology for educational applications.  He is
likely to go with Western Digital as a supplier and asks whether there
is any up-to-date information on the more recent WD PC-toEthernet
interface boards, quality of tech support, survivability of the company,
etc.  Any advice (please use email and indicate whether I should include
your comments in a posted summary or not) that I can pass on will be
appreciated and will be helpful to helping kids in another country learn
better in school.
