I have the SpeedModem on my BBS (The Gooey (GUI) BBS @ 212-876-5885) because it is the most inexpensive 9600 bps capable modem you can get, and a 2400 MNP modem wouldn't cost much less. For a price of only $169, you can literally afford to look at it as a 2400 MNP with the capability for 9600. I am doing a good service for my users who can't afford $425+ V.xx modems.
