I have data for a variable sampled at random points within a given area. I would like to build an image from this data but this requires resampling the data on a fixed grid. I have read about methods such as Kriging to minimize the error (theory of regionalized variables) but I would very much appreciate some code to give me a starting point. This sounded like a fairly common problem so I hope to be able to find some fairly common solutions. Please Email me with any pointers to software/algorithms you may have... Thanks in advance, rjf.
