Before I can argue that this would be a good thing I :need some information. First, how many workstation vendors are currently :(or plan in the near future) shipping PERL? Second, why should a vendor :ship PERL? And last (directed mostly at Larry) what are the ramifications :(i.e. licensing restrictions) of shipping PERL? Convex does, but we're not workstation vendors. I think Brandon's company does, but neither is his. As for Certain Major Players in that market, I've only heard rumors from several unsubstantiated but usually reliable sources. My guess is that you'll see something out there on a couple platforms within a year. Believe it when it ships, though. --tom -- Tom Christiansen tchrist@convex.com convex!tchrist "So much mail, so little time."
