Many thanks to Neil Rickert who pointed out that I needed to link with libresolv.a. I am still left with one undefined symbol-- ch_yloc. It is defined in ~mts/mmdf/hosts.c as an extern short, but I don't find it in ch.h or any of the other mmdf code. The comment in hosts.c says "ok to intercept local names". I am trying to bring up 6.7.1 on a SPARC 1+ under SunOs 4.1 using MMDFII (MMDF IIb: Update #32; Army version #S04-01-00). The extern is just being used to do a logical and (&&) on a check against LocalName() (~/zotnet/mts/mts.c); so I could get rid of it and see what happens... It would be nice, though, to take care of it "properly". Any help would be greatly appreciated.
