  use vacation.  here is the relevant lines from my .maildelivery
  file.  it appears you already know how to use vacation.

#cc  wohler     | R "sed -e '1s/>From /From /' | /usr/ucb/vacation wohler"

  all sed does is to remove the '>' that slocal inserts so that
  vacation knows who to reply to.
