Hello,
	I got two replies for this query, which gave ucsd.edu and 
uhccux.uhcc.hawaii.edu as FTP sites.  Unfortunately, the I couldn't 
find anything on the latter one (and I already had the first one).

But through searching the "archie" database I was able to find two more:
	louie.edel.edu
		/pub/midi
	media-lab.media.mit.edu
		/music/midi

The first has a *lot* of synth patches!  And the latter has ~ 2MB of MIDI
files (a superset of ucsd.edu); there's a large file called info.txt that
appears to be encrypted in some way :-(.

Thanks to both who replied and I hope these two other sites are of use.
