I have a perplexing problem. Several months ago I bought (and read!) Coad's Object Oriented Analysis, 2nd ed. This book describes a graphical analysis and diagramming technique of Coad's called OOA. There is a coupon in the back of the book for ordering a program called OOATool that supports this diagramming technique. I started seeking info about OOATool more than 2 months ago. I do not have the usual problems: I have snail-mail address and voice and fax phone numbers for Object International. My problem is that I cannot hook up with anybody at Object International who understands what OOATool does!! My question is quite simple: can OOATool produce graphical output? By that I mean "can I print the pretty diagrams to an HP LaserJet or to a PostScript printer, or to an Epson :-)". I also would like to be able to dump the diagrams into some format like GIF or TIF or PCX or PBM or something to be able to incorporate them into other programs. Would you believe that I can't find anybody at Object International who understands the question? I can't communicate with Coad directly because my faxes to him get intercepted by an employee who gives me obvious contradictory, wrong replies. I have a fax from this person which says "OOATool cannot produce graphical output" and also a phone conversation in which she said "of course OOATool can produce graphical output". So how can I communicate with somebody at Object International who can understand my question and give me a reliable answer? -- Bill Hutchison, DP Consultant psuvax1!burdvax!ubbpc!wgh (work) Unisys UNIX Portation Center uunet!eidolon!wgh (home) P.O.
