If I had not tested the other 1024x768 driver, I would not even have noticed the different size. With the IBM card and monitor you may not notice it because it is interlaced and the picture is not that clear as on the Paradise card which works noninterlaced. Also, the main advantage from patching the icons is not only that they are no longer stretched but also that they occupy again less space. This reduced the size of my desktop manager groups substantially. (40 -> 32 pixels = 20% less).
