Message-ID: <9999@star.cs.vu.nl> Date: 21 May 91 10:35:04 GMT Sender: news@cs.vu.nl Organization: Fac. Wiskunde & Informatica, Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam Lines: 22 I use OS/2 1.3 EE, and tried to use Norton Utilities in the DOS box. Everything works fine, but the most important feature, unerasing a file does NOT work... I tried Norton 4.5, Norton 5.0 and even PC-Tools, but they all give report something like 'error: can't write directory' I think this has to do with the FAT extended-attribute support OS/2 1.3 offers, because Norton did work with OS/2 1.1 Note: when I boot real DOS, everything is normal: I can unerase the files! Any hints ?? Thanks, Matthijs van Doorn ________________________________________________________________________ | " To do is to be - Nietsche | /| /| / \ | To be is to do - Kant | mabdoor@cs.vu.nl / | / | / | | Do be do be do - Sinatra " | VU Amsterdam / | / | / | |________________________________|_____________________/___|/___|/_____/
