I am trying to find information on some of the various ASN.1 encoding
schemes being proposed as alternatives to the BER. I know that
schemes have been proposed for higher performance encoding/decoding,
for packed encoding/decoding, and for encrypted encoding/decoding.

What I would like to know, is what stage these proposals are in
(DP, DIS ...) and if I could somehow obtain early specifications?
