  Agreement has been reached that comp.protocols.snmp will presently
be created as an "inet" newsgroup. 

  The new newsgroup comp.protocols.snmp will be bidirectionally gated
to the existing SNMP Mailing List in the same manner as the TCP/IP
Mailing List is gated with comp.protocols.tcp-ip.  

  In effect what is going on here is that an existing Internet mailing
list is also becoming an "inet" newsgroup.
