While we're talking metrics books, I'd also suggest Horst Zuse's new book Software Complexity: Measures and Methods, published by de Gruyer (200 Saw Mill River Road, Hawthorne, NY 10532 - 914/747-0110). I'd say Horst's book is by far the best review of the complexity metric research literature I've ever seen [but it's a tad spendy - about $100].
