I've seen a couple of pd programs called 'chat' 'talk' 'multitalk' 'mtalk', etc... but they don't do what I am looking for, and are really very limited. Ideally (if anyone is familiar with this service) I'm looking for something that works similarly to that of BIX (Byte Information Exchange). Their conferencing system allows for private conversations, private discussions, switching to differend BANDS and CHANNELS, with a few other features such as having a profile that is automatically loaded up upon your entry to set your alias and environment variables. I've been looking for something like this for a long time, and just haven't been that successful, so I thought someone out there on the net would be able to help out.
