No, both of these are take-offs from the cheap sci-fi thrillers of the 30s and 40s. You can still rent them from your local video store. Don't you wonder why both Rocket Ranger & Rocket Man are set in the WW II time-frame? That is because the originals were actually produced in the 30s and 40s.
