The Samsung, as do many third party monitors, leaves a nasty black border around the edge of the Amiga display. This is annoying, for it not only reduces the size of the text, but also causes games to only fill up a portion of the screen. I don't know about the NEC, but the 1950 is the only monitor I've seen tweaked properly to work with the Amiga display; I'd reccomend it for that reason. You might regret another purchase.
