I dont have a co-processor. I'm very interested in the disk drive controller, as well as RAM throughput/access speeds. Also, is there a list of how different machines and controllers compared on these different benchmarks? That is, whats good and whats bad? I have FTP access. Now, while I'm asking... When I received my machine, I found a copy of a program called 'cpuid' which reports different values for clock speed and the number of wait states, every time its run. How could this be? Alright, if I have MS Windows in the background, I could see it steeling some CPU, however, how come I can run it and get the number of wait states 0 then 1 with a subsequant run? Please mail responces, I dont check these groups all that often. If others request this info, I'll post a follow up. Thanx, ...steve... ---------------------------------------- Steve Rosen attmail!srosen srosen@attmail.com ----------------------------------------
