I doubt it. Have you tried calling the hard drive manufacturer? I'd be leary (sorry Tim ;) of opening up a sealed device. Hard drives are manufactured to specific tolerances and some can crash a head if a hair gets between the head and the media. Do you have a clean room to take this thing apart in? I'd leave it alone and consider calling the manufacturer and also saving for a new one. All hard drives fail; it's only a matter of when.
