Well, unless you have a 286, this is not even *possible*. PC & XT BIOS support for the keyboard does not include LEDs. Those came with the AT. There's no provision for sending anything *to* the keyboard except a "reset" code. With an AT, all you need to do is flip the numlock flag in the BIOS data area in low RAM. There are lots of programs for doing that, just stick one in your autoexec.
