This may be true, I am not discounting it, but the instruction "manual"
(read, a folded up piece of paper!) for my COM CALL 2400 which I got
from Damark states that it is "Truly line powered: no batteries or
A.C. required". This leads me to believe that it gets the power from
the Phone line, not from the serial port. Of course, I am no expert.
