Message-ID: Date: 21 May 91 03:00:59 GMT Sender: news@husc6.harvard.edu Distribution: comp Organization: Harvard Chemistry Department Lines: 14 I really have two questions, both pertaining to Global Village Teleport modems: (1) These modems presently run MNP5. Could they, in theory, do V42bis compression with only a change to the CDEV? That is, is the data compression done in the hardware or by the CDEV? (2) Does Global Village have any plans to implement V42bis? -- Tom Ngo ngo@harvard.harvard.edu 617/495-1768 lab number, leave message
